Renewing a Taiwanese (ROC) passport generally involves submitting an application form, the current passport, photographs, and supporting documents to the Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) or an overseas mission. The process aims to provide an updated travel document.

Your timing

It is advisable to begin the passport renewal process several months before the current passport's expiration date. This allows ample time to gather necessary documents, schedule appointments if required, and account for processing times, which can vary depending on the application volume and location (e.g., within Taiwan vs. overseas missions). The process
