Passport renewal in Spain
Renewing a Spanish passport involves presenting current documentation at a designated police station after booking an appointment. Applicants must provide a recent photograph and meet identity verification requirements in person.
It is generally recommended to start the renewal process at least 3 to 6 months before the current document expires. This accounts for peak demand periods, which can lead to limited appointment availability at local stations.
