The Philippine National ID (PhilSys ID) generally does not expire for Filipino citizens. Renewal, in the traditional sense, is not typically required unless there are changes to a cardholder's demographic information, the card is lost or damaged, or for foreign nationals whose ID has a validity period.

The process
