Your timing

It is advisable to begin the renewal process several weeks before the expiry date. The process

  1. 1Verify the expiry date of the current vehicle registration and roadworthiness certificate.
  2. 2Schedule and successfully complete a Road Worthiness Test (also known as a 'fitness test') at an approved Vehicle Examination Centre (VEC).
  3. 3Obtain the Road Worthiness Certificate from the VEC upon successful completion of the test.
  4. 4Gather all required documents, including the Road Worthiness Certificate, a valid insurance certificate, and the original vehicle registration book/card.
  5. 5Submit the application for renewal along with all necessary documents and the applicable fee at the National Transport Authority office or through an authorized agent.
  6. 6Collect the renewed vehicle registration certificate and road tax disc.
