Vehicle registration in Peru, known as the 'Tarjeta de Identificación Vehicular Electrónica' (TIVE), generally does not expire and therefore does not require periodic renewal. Changes to vehicle characteristics or ownership are recorded as modifications to the TIVE rather than a renewal process.
