Motor insurance renewal in Cameroon
Renewing motor insurance in Cameroon involves purchasing a new policy or extending an existing one through an authorized insurance company. Coverage is mandatory for all vehicles and is verified by a valid insurance certificate and sticker (vignette) displayed on the vehicle.
It is standard practice to initiate the renewal process at least 15 to 30 days before the current policy expires to account for administrative processing and to ensure no lapse in legal coverage.

- Verify that the new insurance sticker corresponds exactly to the dates on the certificate to avoid fines during police checks.
- Keep the physical insurance certificate inside the vehicle at all times, as digital copies may not be sufficient for roadside verification.
